Without the Autumn, our world would crumble. Literally. Our world would turn grey, then black, then the atmosphere would crumble it to ashes. Now, you don’t know about the lore our world comes from, so I should tell you. Our world was created off Folklore, odd and not created from some big bang and materials clumping together to form a planet. No, we were from a planet, per say. Tenkū no Sora is as it means, a heavenly void. It’s impossible to find to mere mortals, but still a dark physical place with its own origins.

Our world came from Earth folklore of the Japanese stories about Kitsunes. It was created from myth, and after a few hundred years, a physical form of the world was created when the living Tengoku and Kukan, the original gods came together. After bringing the rest of the eleven kitsune gods together, the physical form was made using all their combined talents, and thus, Tenkū no Sora was created. Just in time for the Earth mortals to start advancing once again.

Our Autumn is the surviving force, the time of the wheat harvest, a sacred time for spiritual offerings on Earth. It’s the most important season to the Kitsune gods, and therefore the only season we ever had. It’s only been known as the Autumn since then and is considered to be the actual life of our planet. That’s why we have the Aki no Niwa, it’s the only place our planet’s life continues to live, the charred grey land uninhabited by most.

It was only a couple centuries into the environmental rehabilitation when the cyborgs approached Tenkū no Sora.
