Originally we didn’t notice that they’d even.. invaded. They kind of just stumbled into the Garden with their machines and technology. Truthfully, we almost killed them on site. They were alien invaders after all. Even so, one of them managed to get us to just speak calmly and they explained what they wanted.
They didn’t know our planet was inhabited, but they did know its core was made of a sort of gemstone that they could gather energy from. They asked us to allow them to dig for it, explaining that with our planet being mainly dead we wouldn’t miss any of it. And this we agreed with, so we allowed them to tear up one of the island territories our species had long since abandoned.
This made them happy.. for a few years. Soon enough they returned and told us something that they thought would mean nothing but instead threatened our livelihood. They said they’d managed to map out the rough size and shape of the gemstone core and that it was closest to the surface underneath the Garden. Truthfully we didn’t care, we gave them their part of our world generously and we weren’t going to spare anymore. Even as they asked to tear apart our lovely Garden we were denying and not allowing them to really get a word out. They were getting our land.
So they decided to try and fight us for it. Originally we couldn’t fathom why they’d want to start a war over some stupid gemstone, but the truth came out early on into the war and was what spurred us on. The energy they collected from this gemstone would allow them to rule the universe and advance their technology in no time as all. They wanted to take over our planet, and every other planet they could reach, which with this energy would be to the edges of space and time.
We fought a brutal bloody war, however it wasn’t enough. They could reanimate, and they were already part machines anyways. For each one of us they killed, one of them came back to life. We couldn’t fight fast enough, especially with our numbers only recently increasing since the internal wars. They decimated our combined armies and soon enough the tribes of Chikyu, Mori, Umi, Sanda, and Kawa were all but extinguished. It was a devastating blow and we were sure we were going to lose. Losing five gods and their tribes was a deadly blow.
Even so, fate refused to let us lose and offered us a hero with the power of the gods.
