Now, I can’t tell you very much about our hero’s background. As there is nothing in scripture or lore that they really even existed before the war, however they had to have.
Our hero was called Seishin no Senshi, or the Spirit Warrior. They were a Foxfire of indeterminate gender and between the age of five thousand years and six thousand years judging by their five tails. They, Seishin, were a gorgeous Foxfire either way, often grabbing the hearts of young males and females once the war was over.
Ah, I see your face. Seishin was the name of the Seishin tribe’s god, yes. It is not in our traditions to name our offspring after the gods’, as we believe it shows disrespect, but this was the name given to our nameless hero only a year into the war. It was found that they were the gifted child of the gods Seishin and Jikan, a child of pure blood and one of the very few that remained at that. With that in mind, they were named Seishin no Senshi as respect for their tribe, parents, and sacrifice, rather than in blatant disrespect.
Oh how gifted we were to receive a pure blooded foxfire as our saving grace, and we couldn’t have been luckier. As the bloodlines grew muddled and mortal, we lost the connection to our agility, grace, and our fire. Our powers. Foxfires have control of.. well fox fire, hence where our species was named to differ us from the earthly Kitsune. Our fox fire used to be used as a power weapon and ability. It could teleport a user, create fires of large proportions or as a horribly deadly weapon if the user wishes. As our blood muddled, our power died with it to the point only a small flame could be used to light tiny fires or produce a little light. However, a pure blooded Foxfire can wield their fire in godly ways, and that our hero did.
